Group Cruise 2026

Advert

Why a Group Cruise?

The idea came about after some of our followers enquired about us doing something as a group – to be honest such thoughts got put on the back burner for a while.

Then we took our first trip with Fred Olsen on Bolette and found we really enjoyed the whole ethos of their cruising.  So much so that we started to look at cruises that were just a little longer than the first taster we had, but also perhaps to somewhere a little different. Then we happened to see this Cruise leaving Southampton on 14 April 2026, 8 nights on Borealis, heading to French Ports. We liked the look of it for ourselves and spoke to Dan of GoCruise&Travel, our travel agent, to get more information on pricing.  I suppose you could say the rest is history!

Where is the Cruise Going?

You will embark Borealis on 14 April 2026. She will then sail for her first port of call docking at Pauillac for Bordeaux (overnight) before heading to La Pallice for La Rochelle. There is a day at sea before arriving in St Malo and finally Cherbourg – before heading back to Southampton on the morning of 22 April 2026.

Whether it is admiring the picturesque cities of La Rochelle and Saint-Malo, exploring vineyards near Bordeaux or tasting local food and Cognac along the way we hope this itinerary and the ship itself will have something for everyone.

We haven’t sailed on Borealis before but we loved her sister ship Bolette and they are quite similar – we have included a couple of videos below if you would like to see them. On the right hand side you can get a brief overview of the cruise.
